Power column adjust not working

Hello all,
My Discovery 4 has had a new bcm/cjb fitted and now the electric steering column no longer works. I have double checked that the module is correct for models with electric column adjustment. I have not checked with iid tool as yet however it was fitted by a Land Rover specialist with all the expensive gear and we couldn't see anything in the ccf on his diagnostic equipment (sdd) that might turn it on. I did find column tilt and telescoping in the ccf was inactive, changed to active and uploaded ccf but still no joy. Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I should add, I checked the ccf and made the changes with iid tool, after leaving workshop.

You haven’t found the right option yet.

Try steering memory near the top

Disregard the mirrors dipping in reverse, was not selected in cluster menu.

those are user settings. for functionality.

Somewhere there will be an option that says fitted or not fitted

Cheers Pete, I understand what you're saying, but I'll be knackared if I can see it... I wonder if it's called something different or is tied in with something that doesn't seem related?? Or possibly the new hardware is faulty? The seat forward/back when engine start/door open function has come back to life, I don't think I changed any config that would affect that but it was't working before. I will keep investigating

I've stumbled across a TSB (LTB00492NAS2) from 2014 regarding BCM/CJM replacement for a starting fault.

It mentions a Steering column calibration - would it be fair to say if this wasn't carried out the electric column would not work?

COPY AND PASTE FROM PDF:
20. NOTE: Steps 20-23 required for vehicles fitted with Powered Steering Column Movement
ONLY
Select the Service Function tab.
21. Select ‘Run’ to perform the ‘Body system – Steering column calibration’ application.
22. Follow all on-screen prompts to complete this task.
23. When all tasks are complete, exit the current session by selecting the Session tab and then select the Close
Session option.
24. Disconnect the SDD and battery power supply.
25. Ensure correct operation of all vehicle systems before delivery back to the customer.

Silly reply, have you got the column joystick switched to auto?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Yep, tried with switch in both positions. Nothing at all. Not getting any drive from the BCM/CJB. I doubt the garage that fitted the new unit carried out the steering column calibration, they weren't even aware it wasn't working until I mentioned it. If they weren't a 3 hour drive away I would take it back for them to see if if the calibration is the cause...

I've physically checked all fuses with a test light and also physically compared fuses/relays fitted with old CJB/BCM. All the same except for one relay slot has a bridge instead of a relay which controls the audio.

Having read through TSB LTB00492NAS2 which is the closest thing I can find to a manual for changing out the CJB/BCM, My thoughts are that it won't power the column adjustment until it has a calibration as the CJB/BCM would need to know the column position to avoid driving it past its limits?

I mentioned earlier the workshop had no idea that the column adjust wasn't working until I told them so they very likely didn't do the calibration, I doubt they were even aware that the car had the option.

I will try and find someone a bit closer with an SDD and see if a calibration will do the trick.
