What is going on with my back end??
Hi guys
I’ve got a 2005 Disco 3 (recently bought) and I am having a strange issue arising from what sounds like my rear (no metaphors) end (possibly diff?? Or drive train?
I have Absaloutley no issues driving on road accelerating hard or while under heavy load.. If I take it off-road though, even lightly and in high range, just entering field entrances in mid etc, when I come back onto the road and accelerate l, I get a clunking through what sounds like my rear transmission which I can feel, almost like if you can imagine a sprocket slipping on a bike. I can’t help but think it could be diff pinion slipping or something?
The odd part of it is, that it dosnt do it unless I’ve been off road? Noticeably it also seems to persist until I’ve parked it up for a bit. When I come back to it and drive again it’s gone?
Anyone experienced anything like this at all and could shed any light on it please??
