Plumped for All Terrain Plus

If the weather does as predicted by some later this month I’ll be out with 4x4 Response and given my disappointment with the recent slippery surface performance of the GG AT3s with 5mm tread, I have jumped and fitted 4 Pirelli All Terrain Plus today

Cost £700 all at McConnechy’s, ordered them in and fitted next day. Top service. Bow down

Now we’ll see how they go, but at least the known bad is gone. Thumbs Up
No photos on the car yet, it’s dark out.

BTW, let me know if you want 4 GG AT3s ... now I’ve bigged them up Shocked

Are they the ATR or something different?

I’m in need of tyres soon, so watching all tyre threads with interest!

I was thinking GG AT3, but not sure. Not sure what other AT options there are!!

Edit: what size do you run? Are they full load/speed rated for D4?

Is £700 the going rate for a fitted set? Is that 4 or 5?

How much is a set of GG AT3?

How many miles are you guys getting out of a set?

The AT Plus hasn't long been available in the UK so too early to tell what the average mileage expectancy is.

However in the US they have a 50k miles warranty. As does the ATR. In reality these warranties have numerous caveats.

I'd expect to get 50k miles from my ATR's though and have done on previous sets, changing them when they get to c.3mm tread depth.

I’m on 255/55R19 and I got 4 for the price.

The car came with 20’s but they’re stacked in the garage with their standard road tyres. I had the 19 inch rims from the extinct winter tyres so I put the GGAT3s on those.

E Rating in the wet?

Would be interested in hearing how they perform on regular tarmac in a drizzle.

Well, I had to drive down into a old quarry at the weekend to complete a survey. The track was muddy which made access a bit interesting.

I definitely need new tyres, so I need to decide. My options seem to be:

GG AT3
GG X3? ( not sure on speed rating)
Pirelli AT Plus

Have I missed any others I should explore? I will need 255/55/19 Thumbs Up
