Device cradle in centre console lid |
|
Does anybody know for which device the cradle on the underside of the MY08 HSE centre console lid is designed? I have searched the forum but I am still confused. There's nothing like it in the handbook.
Any thoughts gratefully received!

depends what or if there is a cradle fitted...
if just the plug then the latest phone cradle available is for the 6230i which has to be bought as an extra. TLO has left the building.......

Thank you for that (sorry, I should have taken a photo).
There is a plug (two groups of brass connectors) in the centre of a squarish looking docking bay. I assume that that is in fact the the home for gripping the actual cradle. Is there is a list anywhere of currently available cradles? I may upgrade my phone soon (although the bluetooth is fine) and all things being equal a phone I could dock in the car seems a good idea.

there are only a few phones to fit available cradles
all these are old hat now...the latest phone was the Nokia 6230i.
There will be no more cradles produced...so i have been told....so the options are
1. old phone...left in vehicle (cradle) and on divert to your current phone
2. just leave your latest phone as bluetooth connection
hope this helps
edit
sorry forgot the list
Nokia 6100,6220,6230, 6230i

Sorry, my comment was not aimed at you (or anyone else) but rather an aside about Land Rover's apparent disarray on this one. Apologies if you felt it was
