[Wanted] Can anyone identify this bit?

Hi,

I've got my dog crates sorted. Now I need to sort a tailgate protector to keep the mud and dog hair off. I'm not paying £52 for one from Trans K9 so I'll make one myself...

I've got the matting for £15, just need to identify this buckle/clip and strap thingy so I can source some bits online to make myself.

Can anyone help?

Need to know the name of the items so I can search for them as I've drawn a blank so far.

Come on, there must be some leather/fabric workers out there that know what these bits are?

Or even a website that sells stuff similar?

We used to use them often but it must be five years since we’ve used them now, they will make any strap to any length and choice of ends.
