Wanted Disco3 - Bumper bar / A bar frame

Wanted, LAND ROVER Discovery 3 BUMPER BAR / A BAR FRAME.

Part number VUB501210

If there are no fittings with it this is not a problem.

I haven't got an A frame to sell. The kits for fitting them are all supplied without the STEEL mounting brackets. What I'm after is the loan of of one bracket to make a copy. Any chance of borrowing one of yours if you have one while you're searching for the A Frame. I'll pay the P&P both ways.

Regards

Bill Wright

Anyone on the Forum got a spare one for copying, please get in touch.

Having succesfully won an A Bar of Ebay from Craddocks and purchased the fixing kkit, find myself in the same predicament. No Steel fixing plates, So I too am still looking for some. Like Bill if any body hsa a template or drawing they could supply I could get a couple made up.

Cheers

I know where you can get one for 150 , a guy I bought a front bumper from a few months back.I've sent him an email to see if they come with all the brackets & sleeves. He has a couple or three for sale I think.Hes based just outside Northwich.

Let me know if youre still wanting one and I will PM his contact details.

For those who have no clue what these things look like...

They are 'handed' - the lugs are different lengths either side to align from the curvature of the 'girder' behind

I see no reason why equivalents could not be 'formed' by one of the 'clever' people on this site Whistle

New style ones are like this

Full fitting instructions are on the owner info site but under the Towing section rather than Exterior Protection for some reason Confused

Bar looks to be the pretty much the same so presumably the new brackets are to comply with the new EU regs which may explain why the old ones are like rocking horse droppings

Thanks for the info Slimer

Is LR's website slow or it my link? Taking ages to download a page. I think that I'm looking in the wrong place. I have list of vehicles and accessories - nothing about Towing or Exterior protection. Can you paste the link please?
