Front Wheel Hub or something else to consider?

I took Miss Moneypit for a trip up the road to Exeter today to collect some parts from Matford JLR.

I can't decide if I have a hub / diff / something else failing or even if it's just noisy GG AT's. I have had for some time a rumbling which seems to be present at all speeds & is difficult to isolate to any particular corner. I had both the track rods replaced a couple of months back to help point the truck in the right direction. The GG AT have only covered 3K & are certainly a noisier tyre than the Scorpions they replaced.

I do notice under acceleration when pulling left out of a junction a increase in noise which sounds more of a whirr / slight grinding. I don't appear to get this when turning right. Which had me think front diff. I popped it up on stands just now & whilst the slack in the OSF from the worn track rods has gone since replacement, I still have movement left to right (albeit 1- 2mm across the wheel) on the NSF. There is no top to bottom movement. Could this point to a worn hub? Wouldn't a worn hub bearing show as movement both L-R & T-B?

If it is the hub / bearing should these be replaced as pairs of can I do a side at a time?

Any thoughts on diagnosis from my esteemed friends here?

How worn are your brake discs? Mine is noisy atm as the rear pads are just kissing the raised ridge around the disc and it get worse round corners due to the flexing of things.
More bits from AF after the hols to play with me thinks.....
