Global window close

Lots of people on here say this can't be done.

But looking at the wiring diagrams the front windows have a grey wire to them (from CJB FET) call global close/open.

Can I enable something with the IID CCF ?

Land Rover have been trying to do this since the disco 1 where it was connected to the alarm system so on locking the car all windows closed, I have never seen one working, but the system gives me loads of trouble on our site training vehicles as the windows keep failing to either open or close

Does the D3 have global opening?

What are your site training cars? D3 ?

Once enabled do you hold the lock button to roll windows up?

I guess they thought it was pointless to enable as rears can't be controlled.

Global closing is not enabled for D4s in Australia. I enabled it on my D4 with an IIDTool, it is just a CCF edit.

Enabled global open and close but drivers window won't close when key held.

How do you trigger it?

Global opening and close have to be enabled via an IID tool then?

Is this a good time to point out that the global closure on the D4 works via the handle button. Whistle Whistle

But not for the sunroof (fob or button). It wouldn’t be a bad idea to have it do that but prob a different department and they didn’t get the memo. Rolling Eyes

Press & hold the lock button on fob, car locks and then all windows go up. Same with the square button on the handle with keyless entry malarkie. Except the sunroof, which my K reg Cavalier did in ~1993 ISTR. Thumbs Up

Thinking about it, the sunroof might have been a crank handle version. Was a long time ago in a galaxy far, away. Embarassed

Some cavaliers had electric sunroofs. But the omega closed it from the key. And could be fitted to cav.

Cav has all 4 windows one touch up and down!

Nope it don't seam to work. Not surprised.

Found an RF global close option. That didn't help.

There is a lazy close option but battery appears to be low.
