Didn't know these things existed...!

I might be tempted if it were a little closer. Never seen one before, are they that uncommon?

Hi, it's actually TWO mats, both LR accessories. They're designed to "clip" together, and this sort-of works but the "clips" are in truth more like floppy press-studs and although they help align the join, the edges need some sort of supplementary clamping/bonding to get the pair of mats to behave as one.
A neat idea is maybe to link the mats permanently (sewn, or a very strong but flexible adhesive, or ultra-strong press studs) - should then be possible to flip the leading mat up and lay it against the back of the Row 2 seats when not operating as a truck/van; that way can keep the two mats properly linked but still have use of Row 2 seats when needed.
Will need some hanging support for the leading mat edge such as a few hooks to hang off the load area top cover roller housing.
Worth taking some trouble as the mats are, individually, very strong and durable, they do a fine job keeping the carpet beneath in decent nick.
