D3 OEM Xenon Lights - running with the wrong CCF setting
The other day I was reviewing my D3's CCF settings using IID, to discover that the setting for lights was set as halogen, not Xenon.
When I bought the car, I asked my LR dealer to swap the standard lights to OEM Xenons. They probably just swapped the unit without updating the CCF, so for over a decade I have been driving with an incorrect CCF without any observable problems on my lights.
Is there any negative effects of an incorrect CCF setting for lights? Given that it had worked for the past decade (still using the original pair of light bulbs), should I be meddling with the CCF setting now?

yeah change the setting.
Check it in the dark before and after, and notice if there is a difference as soon as you switch them on

It doesn’t do the xenons any harm, when I had a setup like that it just meant they were a bit dimmer for the first few hundred metres. The voltage gets cranked down a little to stop the halogens blowing, something that happened regularly when I had halogens in SWMBO’s car that was set up for xenons.
Easy to live with, well it was for me.

Thanks very much for this. If it won’t do any harm I will update the CCF setting to Xenon then
