| Can the IIDTool be used for retrofitting a fuel heater? |

Hello!
My first post here, so please be gentle. 
Next weekend I'll be driving home a 2008 D3 V8, and already I'm looking at the mods I'll have to do.
I spoke with local Landy shop about retrofitting a fuel heater, but unfortunately they said it was impossible since they were not allowed to alter the software of the car. They could fit it, but it would not be possible to couple if it with internal heating system, which was the whole point of installing it.
Would this be something I could to with the IIDTool? Or is it as impossible as they are saying?

How much did they quote for a FBH on a v8?
I was looking into one so my car is warm in the mornings 05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey

They didn't actually. Since they could not install it properly.
But if they could I would guess somewhere around €3000.
