Happy New Year to everyone!

I have just competed 8000km's in my D3 V8 HSE this holiday without any complaints apart from punctures. Avearge fuel consumption was 14.5l/100km,offroad low range speed to 160km's, some trailer towing, boat towing and beach launching and sand dune driving.

On another note, anyone interested in buying a new set of 4 18' TDV6 rims and tyres- brand new?

Have a great Disco year...hope the TATA purchase does not affect us too much.

Heine, they are the Wranglers, picked up four punctures on one stretch of gravel road. Looked like small sharp stones. We had one Isuzu 4x2(firestones ATX), renault megane(michelin) and a LC(Dunlop GT) with us. Nobody else got any punctures. I manged to plug them but one tyre has alarger hole and the plug oozes out after 10km's, so 1 new tyre coming up. The only 19' tyres in SA are Pirellis and Goodyear. I am thinking of bringing in new tyres from US or UK.

Bruce,

The Wranglers are prone to puncturing - to get around the problem in 19" it would seem you have to get the MTR's, but then your daily drive would be on Muds, which for me personally would be a schlep, but lots of people don't mind.

What design are the 18"s. I'm only on the lookout for one in the TDV6 HSE style (I think about 8 or 10 spokes) so if you get to the stage where you'll be selling them piecemeal let me know.

Did LR ever come to the party re. your dinged door?

Regards

Rob
