Hi. To quickly cut a long story short, following an accident, we need to replace the dashboard in my son's disco 3 as airbags were deployed! Has anyone else replaced dash for this reason? If so, any advice?
Also, are there likely to be any issues with ecu when fitting replacement doner dash?
Help and advice welcome!
Thanks.

Do you not just replace the airbag modules??

Not just modules. When passenger air bag goes off, it rips the top of the dash, so dash needs replacing. Plus also, in doing so, it cracks the windscreen, so new screen needed as well! bit frustrating because there was no passenger so the bag didn't need to go off!

wow!, I thought there was a trimmed section around the air bag (mine has this) that was what should blow out. Then the windscreen to break. It wasn't one of the Takita bags was it?
Feeling the pain

Arh yes. I have heard of windscreen breaks due to this.
you may find you need to remove the center console to allow the dash to come out
