Sure it's not an issue with the gearbox or the brakes binding on?1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Yes couldn’t see any splits
Just seems to of got really bad latterly
If I’m
Idle in park it revs fine but not when pulling away from being stationary
Even when I use command shift the pick up seems slower than it used to beDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Inside the gearbox are clutches and brake bands which either engage gear sets or lock a gear set to the casing. If one of them is dragging, it can cause a delay as it's trying to hold the car back.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Well it was a recon box from zf so don’t see it being that and it’s not that it’s breaking it’s just seems to take ages to start revving to get going
I can reproduce it if I’m
Rolling on a hill really slowly in neutral and rev
It there
Is a big delay as soon as I’m
Stopped rolling the delay has gone when revving itDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Have you checked the setting of the brake pedal switch? The switch might be sticking on which is causing the delay in launching. Get someone to check the brake lights when you apply and lift off. Any delay in the lights going out is going to show the switch needs replacing or resetting.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

Mine is a manual so it doesn’t affect me. But before I changed the brake switch it was holding the brake lights on for at least a second after taking my foot off the pedal.
Easiest way to check is position your car so you can see the brake lights reflecting on a window or at night against a wall and watch the reaction times when you take your foot off. With the best will having a second person telling you on/off gives a false timing.

Thing is even if there was a
Delay that wouldn’t make it do it even if I’m sitting waiting for a few minutes it still does itDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

Don’t know if this is correct but live data is showing boost pressure
Acuator at 85% when idling and when I rev it takes a
Bit to go down
