Hi, this is our loved Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 HSE October 2009 (59) 76,000 miles.
Unfortunately despite being the best looking and most comfortable car we have ever had, it came to an abrupt stop due to the engine seizing (Crankshaft bearing failure / snapped crankshaft), so sold as a non-runner requiring a new engine.
Stornoway Grey, Almond Leather, 19” Alloy Wheels, grand black wood kit, rear privacy glass
Full Land Rover service history. 3 owners from new, including me (one was the Land Rover dealer themselves). I bought it from a franchised Land Rover dealer just under 3 years old at 22,000 miles.
Equipment includes but not limited to:
Bi-xenon headlights, auto dipping main beam, front & rear parking sensors, rear camera, Sat Nav, ipod / usb interface, DAB radio, Harman/kardon audio system, heated mirrors and front windscreen, heated front and rear seats.
2 keys, full size spare and removable towbar (the tow bar cover is included, just not on car in pics)
It has been kept under cover and is generally in very good condition cosmetically (there are the expected stone chips around the front end, a couple of minor surface scratches and a small area of corrosion on the edge of the tailgate.) The tyres (Pirelli Scorpion zero) have plenty of tread.
Any additional photos required can be taken etc. Viewings are welcome.
It was serviced by Land Rover main dealer approx. 3 weeks prior to the engine giving way, so should be in good order mechanically (except the engine!). It does need front suspension arm bushes, and will no doubt need a new battery and brake discs cleaning up now too. The engine covers, fan, undertray and front diff etc have been removed to allow inspection of the cam belt and removal of the sump for diagnosis of the cracked crankshaft. All parts are in boxes in the boot.

Hi John
It wasn't (perhaps unfortunately)... I had it inspected forensically by a third party and you can quite clearly see where one of the main bearings has rotated.

There must be a case with LR at 79k surely. That’s utterly bonkers to think a car probably worth £20k can just go pop and that be it. How can they turn their noses up at that?
