IIDTOOL help

So received my IIDTOOL BT today (Thanks Dan). However it doesn't seem to want to play nice.

First issue was that it worked for a couple of minutes then couldn't connect stating firmware was out of date. I researched and fixed this updating the firmware to the latest version.

Now I can connect again but as soon as I try to access "Car Config", I get a "Select CCF" screen with a blank box entitled "Confirmed List..." at which point the app just hangs. Have to kill the app in android settings to get out of this. Then I can't reconnect to the tool again afterwards.

Any ideas?

I thought I had (activate via app) but then that was also around the time it complained about firmware version. I'll see if I can check that on the website itself.

Yep, certain it is activated correctly. Also remember the VIN showing up when connecting.

Manged to get a bit more out of the IID but after 5 or so mins it starts flashing green then nothing works. I have to disconnect and totally power off the car and start again.

I’ve had the same (using Apple though) as have others. I find it much better if you turn off Wi-fi on your phone/tablet. I’m sure it’s a software issue.

Thanks for the info. Not great at £400 a pop if this is a common problem. Without wifi also seemed to work better but didn't stop it hanging though.

I'll have a check of the socket tomorrow to check all the pin connectors are good after reading something in their FAQs.

So managed to get some faults out after several attempts of connecting and clearing all existing faults.

Body Control
Done some research on these codes and apparently I can ignore all of these. Shout if you think differently.

Cell Phone
I suppose this is because I bought the car with an old phone connector in the arm rest compartment which I took off. Would like to remove this completely if possible if anyone knows how?

Engine
I guess I can ignore that scary looking engine fault (P0405-00) as I have the EGR blanked?

Suspension / Vehicle Dynamic
I'll hopefully have the suspension fault fixed tomorrow when I fit the new (second) amk compressor (already replaced the reservoir tank, reservoir valve block and front valve block). Maybe the Vehicle Dynamic fault is a cascade from the Suspension?

This is the only one that needs looking at.
