Stereo issues
I have the problem that a lot of other people seem to have & that's the cd player jamming & not playing or ejecting so I guess I an into a replacement unit. Now I have been looking on eBay & see that even u used unit is several hundred quid. I also saw this (& liked the idea), but need to know if anyone has come across them & if they are any good & worth the money as they are cheaper the OEM units.

Just pointing out the obvious - that's for a freelander 1 ....
I'm assuming you have a 6 cd head unit which probably means you have an amplifier under the drivers seat.
You can use a standard double DIN unit (with a fascia adapter and amp bypass lead) to replace the head unit but you will lose the use of the amplifier and subwoofer

Oh yes, I posted the wrong link & pic (now corrected) but they do one the same for the Disco. Yes the HK amp is eliminated from use & also the LR voice control But the unit has an amp of its own & voice control for the phone ect. I was hoping someone would have tried one of these & could say if it was worth it or better to go with an OEM unit

Hi Stephen
That looks really good, may i ask what model it is please
As I’m going to upgrade mine later and been looking at a lot of models
Ref the CarPlay is that where u can connect ur iPhone and is ur pioneer also a satnav plse
Do have a Tom Tom which I like but they’ve now stopped all the updates for it , so think it would be better to get a combined satnav/ CD player instead of buying seperate units
With a new unit would like it to -
Connect with iPhone
Be able to use the steering wheel controls
Satnav
Reversing camera
Thks again

Hi,
Link to stereo and fitting kit below which includes a harness for steering controls. Yes you can connect your phone to it to use the CarPlay functions which will include your Sat Nav from the phone, it doesn’t have it built in. You can also Bluetooth music and make/receive calls etc without plugging in. If you have a Spotify account that works really well through it as well as it has the App preloaded. You can also have a memory stick for music, movies and you can load a LR logo to make it look original.
This model also has the ability to install a reversing camera but I never fitted it.....yet.
