Thanks folks,
Are these for D3 specifically? Are they capable of calibration of suspension etc? My brother has a garage and he’s not convinced an IID would be better than his. Can’t remember what his is called, but it does all other brands too. How does the IID differ from the likes of his? His is like the one in the pic.
Cheers
Eddie

IID Can do virtually everything from Key re-programming, reading the likes of the injectors, re-programming for swapping to an AMK compressor, setting up user preferences such as light delays and 3 turn indicators.. As well as showing a description as well as the fault codes..
Many Land Rover indi garages use the GAP iid pro version ... which is unlocked to allow use on all vehicles.
Oh .. and its portable.. and always in the car when you need it....

I like the iid Bluetooth unit. It's very simple to use, but sophisticated in its capability.
The fact that GAP diagnostics are on the end of a pm or email, and respond within seconds usually! Is a big bonus. Recently my D4 has had issues with it's headlamps, and one of the suggested fixed was a recalibration of the AFS system. This wasn't included in the standard service options of the iid, so after a reference to a Tsb on Topix, it was added for me by the next day. That's proper service.
It also works with my Jag, so 2 cars covered in one tool. All I had to do was buy an extra license.

Thanks folks. Helpful advice indeed. Think I will look out for a previously owned one. Is there a selling thread on here that I might check out?
Cheers

I'm also in the market for one,£300 seems to be the asking price for a 2nd hand BT version however you MUST pay £25 to have it re registered to your VIN/car and warranty is an additional £50 should you feel the need for it, this now makes it £25 less than a brand new one. Yes they seem to be a usefull piece of kit but in my opinion the 2nd hand price demand is over the top.
