After finding 30Amp fuse in the engine bay fuxe box and all cables/plus are behind the bumper I fitted headlamp washers stuff today:
2x Nozzles - LDNJ000081/LDNJ000091
2x Metal Retaining Clips for Nozzle - LDYC000190
1x Hose assemble - LDNH000142
1x Pump- LDMC500020
1x Washer Level Sensor - LDMI500010 (Not 100% sure on this partnumber)
2x Gromet - LAFU4506
1x Bottle - LDMB500040 (could actually have modified the original if I'd had a drill bit the right size - so this is up for grabs)
Got the car back together in 3 hours turn. Good news was no bits left over 8) , bad news is that the wash level warning light is on permanent when it sensor is pluged in and the lampwashers don't work
Now I think it's one of two things, I have a sneeky suspicion it's the later:
a. the washer level sensor is b d and the headlamp washers only work when there is enough fluid in the bottle or,
b. the brain needs to be told it's grown another foot.
TFC where are you... LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Don't know if this is of help but the LR lamp washers only work on every 3rd pull of the washers when the headlamps are on.
Nope, didn't realise that it required 3 pulls, knew about the headlamps having to be on though - so been outside and tried it, still didn't work. Thanks, good idea though. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Cheers for the nudge!!
Headlamp washers only work when the fluid level is above minimum and the headlamps are on, additionally, they only operate every 3rd or 5th operation (can't remember which ) and not within 10 mins of the last operation per ignition cycle
The low fluid warning connects directly to the instrument cluster, which means that the inhibit signal is broadcast on CANBus to the CJB which also does a logic check of the headlamp output state
Fuse 28 in the CJB provides power to the headlamp wash relay in the BJB, which receives its -ve from the CJB
Not sure why the level sensor should be affected by the addition of headlamp washers (you did fill the reservoir back up didn't you ) without checking, it's probable that the CJB needs to be told about the headlamp washers
Yes I did top up the resoirvoir - to the brim to make sure. The strange thing is that the washer level warning light stay on permanently, so I've left it unplugged it for now - we never had a sensor before, hence my guess that the sensor could be stuffed and therefore the washers not working - but as it's a brand new sensor I thought it's fairly unlikely to be that. I'll double check, but I'm sure that Fuse 28 is Ok in the CJB and having tried 3 pulls I'll wait 10 minutes after starting the engine then try 5 pulls. Watch this space...
Question, as I have disconnected the level sensor to avoid the false warning will this cause a problem?LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Have you got the relay in the BJB?
the sensor being disconnected shouldn't be a problem
Providing the h/lights are on, the h/l washers should fire up on first activation of the washers per ignition cycle
Yeh, thanks for rubbing it in Simon, you know I've only got a coiler without TR LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Who's fault is that then? What if the "Hokey Cokey" really is what it's all about?
