Finally my choice is MICHELIN Latitude Cross
Is the Latitude Cross in 255/60 R18 112 H, by the moment I will say...are magnifics!!
I have to admit that I do not put the pirrelli scorpion ATR because they are not easily achieved and if you do, the speed rate has changed to less for the size 18" But now, with the Michelin, I'm almost glad not find the ATR!!
lost in translation!

They look ideal for replacing my Wranglers but they don't do them in 255 55 19.

Sadly waaaaaay beyond my budget. Well when I say budget I mean what SWMBO allows me to buy.
Mouse and she does before anyone asks!
TBH can't really justify a 2nd set of alloys & tyres. I don't off-road any more, I just need a good AT type that will cope well with Road, Winter and dirt tracks on roadtrips.

I like the rumour of a Pirelli ATR v2.
The Continental Cross Contact ATR is V rated and available in 255-55-19 (looks very similar to the Pirelli ATR).
I'm tempted to try either the Michelins or the Conti ATR next, but the Pirelli ATR's have served me so well for so many years now. The LR endorsement also adds reassurance. The erratic supply of them is annoying though. It's never actually been an issue for me, but I've been lucky maybe.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying a set of nice cheap part-worn Wranglers (6mm) and have had them on for 16k miles. Looks like they'll do the same again which takes them to next spring. It was a very bad investment, if I hadn't bought them I'd have ATRs on her now.

The Wranglers that I had on my D3 went "off" considerably when they got to about 4mm tread depth. They became noisy and grip noticeably deteriorated.
No doubt they've changed compound etc. as that was 10 years or more ago. Possibly light at the end of the tunnel though. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

They are presently at 4.5mm, planning to change them at 3mm.
I told SWMBO that I'll need to change them at 4mm (presently 4.5mm), prob just before I go to Norway and, to quote her, "nice try, I ain't falling for that!!".

Play the Health & Safety card man, come on. More chance of skidding, longer braking distance in the wet a puncture etc. when tread is low.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

If I do that she'll just say that she has to go out and get life insurance for me.
