Hello
Have not used the D4 for two days , it`s parked up in the garage with the Ctek mx10 connected.Have switched the ignition on to check the oil level , the gauge showed FULL then immediately showed EMPTY with the message ,refer to owner Hand book.Switched the ignition off left alone for a few minuets and tried again ,gauge showed full this time .Have put the FBH on for a 20 minuet run time ,to warm up slightly. Going to have another check in 30 minuets .
Anyone had this happen to there D4 in this cold weather.....

Not sure if the method of checking the oil has changed but on the 2012-13 version the manual states:
Prior to checking the oil level ensure that:
• The vehicle is on level ground.
• The engine oil has reached working
temperature (oil is hot).
• The engine has been switched off for 10
minutes, as the system will not give an
accurate reading until the oil level has
stabilised.
The oil level can then be checked
I don't think running the FBH will get the oil hot enough. You'll probably have to start the engine and run it for a while.
