IID tool changes
Have Gap/IID changed the way they do business massively? I used to have an IID BT myself up until maybe 2 years ago and it did pretty much everything I wanted to do, a few updates, code reading and data monitoring etc and all the ccf editing I wanted to do. On that basis, I recommended one to a friend of mine but he tells me he will get charged pretty much every time he wants to change something on his car, ie ccf edits or adds. Is this right?

Not true for code reading, ccf edits, live data plus just about everything else. There are some updates you can buy but ive never looked into that, My iid does all that ive ever needed to do and ive needed it a lot

No if you want to have specific updates and flashes they do charge but thr tool does a lot of ccf stuff from its own memory and can code new items like amps etc and find and clear faults for nothing look on website it tells you on there under your car model what it does Discovery 3 se gone

You need to pay for individual module updates but you would have to do that at a dealer anyway unless it was under warranty.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
