Heater taking ages to heat!
Help! Its chuffing cold and my heater is taking ages to heat.
All the lights, switches and fan seem to work but my heater isn't putting the heat out like it used to. Its taking about 15mins of running before any decent heat comes into the cabin.

Does your temperature gauge reach the midway point after 3 or 4 miles?
Even in these temperatures, at 05.30 this morning my temperature gauge was near (but not quite) the middle within 2.5 miles.
If it does not reach the middle after a few miles, could be thermostat as our resident techie DSL has suggested.

Mine took 6 miles this morning, it was fairly gentle driving but was chuffing cold!
I left the house at ~7.38 and as you can see it was taking its time to warm up..

That's my thinking. Its taking ages for the temp gauge to reach the mid way point.
I'm also beginning to think that there are no bounds to Del's talents. Is that dangerous thinking? New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

From start, with the FBH running, my D3 takes about 5mins before heater becomes effective. In my view that's not bad for a diesel.
My MX5 gives heat within 2 to 3 mins but, of course, that's a petrol ,engine!2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE
