XXV what to do next
Fellow posters
Hard to believe i have had this thing for nearly 3 years. Getting to the point of having to decide on what to do with it. The dilema I have is i'm really not impressed by how the new one looks. Although I have organised to get one for a day to test it out. My head is telling me to hold onto the XXV. As pricing on the new one just looks nuts.
I think the only other options are :- FFRR ( 1-2 year old) GLS Merc or Jeep GC... I need the towing capacity for the horse!
Anybody had any of these and could venture an opinion. I realise the Jeep is not in the same class but would save me a fortune

RRS is not for me. Don't see why there is such a premium for it compared to a discovery.
Thanks for all your replies...pick up a new disco tomorrow for 24hrs to see if it'll grow on me.

One on the left is a 3ltr D HSE and black everything including headliner and Tan leather seats (Don't look right).
First impressions is it feels a lot smaller inside. It goes round corners very well indeed and picks up its skirt pretty quickly. The side steps are pretty low to the ground and I have caught my heel under them getting out a few times. It just looks a lot smaller and lower than the XXV.
Jury is still out....and missing all the toys and it just does not feel as special inside. Wife likes it... she thinks it's more of a ladies car and a lot easier to drive than mine.
Any opinons?

Side step issue might be due to auto lowering to access in place, seems to be default setting, though you can change it.D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Velar is no good as it's towing capacity is
Although on another note. When I took the Disco 5 back to the dealership and gave my"constructive feedback". The sale guy advised one of his customers is getting the back door modified at a body shop "so it looks better". For £70K i'd want landrover to have got it right rather than let a pished Gerry McGovern anywhere near a design pad..
Mark the spark...where did you get the idea for the avtar?
