Faulty sensor. Had this recently. Swapped it out with out removing the bumper. The fixed towbar got in the way

Mine did that for a while, now there's just silence when I select reverse and no beeps when I'm about to hit something!
Had a look underneath earlier and can't see anything obviously wrong with the wiring, am going to remove the bumper next weekend and see what shows up

But it might not be an inner one. Outer ones are a lot easier
IDD tool was showing that the middle sensor was reading at 0.3m when nothing was there hence the continuous beep.

Yes, recently had exactly the same symptoms. Luckily, still under warranty so had a sensor replaced and that did the trick.

I don't even get the initial beep when selecting reverse, makes me think that the sensors aren't getting power at that stage.

I've just got the sound of silence!! None of them click and the car doesn't beep when reverse is selected. Occasionally, the car does sound a short beep and then a long one, but mainly it's silent!

i believe the sensor is behind the left hand side light , ( as u look at the disco )
only fuse i can see is F36. behind glove box
wonder when they go silent if the speaker has failed, that’s fitted behind the passenger side boot side panel, near the C panel
u can see in the pics, speaker and rear sensor ecu
take no notice if the red one, that’s an airbag impact sensor
if u zoom into the second picture u can see them

That's interesting, thanks - another possibility to check out.
My suspicion is lack of power to the system, because the sensors don't click and the speaker doesn't beep. However I'll do some more digging to see what I can find.

hope it helps , a good few panels had to come out, that’s when i had to fit new curtain airbags
assume the iid would pick up a fault either for the speaker or ecu
know a fault will show with the sensors, trying to remember ref the live data for the rear sensors
assume after checking the fuse there should be voltage at the ecu, then out again ??
or maybe just the connector is bad at the back where it joins the bumper loom
i’ve got to replace my bumper loom as only 3 x of mine are working

My Indy found a broken wire on at the connector where the bumper loom connects to the body. All fixed now!
