| Transmission fault and special programs off alarm messages |

Hi Guys,
I have a disco3 TDV6 HSE done 174000 kms with reconditioned engine and gearbox has been serviced and double flush oil change.
Keep getting "Transmission fault" and "check brake pads" indication as soon as I engage a long uphill section of the HI way or Free Way. (South Africa). Gearbox will not change down after releasing the accelerator... have to use command shift to do this. Periodically alarm "special programs off" appears and engine slows right down to a crawl.
Anyone had the same problem, or can offer advice?
