I have pretty much given up on importing a genuine 2005 G4 Discovery, $74k estimated total cost is well above my pay grade. So I decided to investigate building my own with either a 2005 or 2006 LR3
I found a 2006 LR3 SE truck at nearby LR dealership listed at $37k with 30k miles, Zermatt Silver, Black leather/ Options: Cold Climate Pkg, Cooler Box, Heavy Duty Pkg, Lighting Pkg, On/Off Road Navigation, Personal Telephone Integration System, Rear Seat And Climate Pkg Comfort: Dual Zone Climate Controls
Where should the real price be?
Any issues or potential problems that I should be focusing on other than extended warranty? Northern California Land Rover Club

Howdy Gotrovr!
I think most importantly, have the dealer print out the service history for you to check out what kind (if any) of issues it's had, that the software is up to date, and of course that it's been well maintained. One thing about these fancy rigs is that you can pretty much be assured an LR dealer has done the servicing so records are right there. If it's had a lot of issues, or serious ones (like suspension probs) probably stear clear I haven't had any serious problems with the 05 knock on wood, but feel that one that has had issues in the past is more likely to give future headaches. Not sure how much truth there is in that but hey.
Worth checking tire & brake wear. It varies but I needed tires before 15K and brake pads around 18K. Not necessarily a deal breaker but could get some discounts for it.
$37K seems a bit high to me, average 06 HSEs I've seen seem to go for around $33-35K.
Good luck I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?
