[For Sale] 2007 Discovery 3 HSE
Having owned our Disco for 4 years, it is time to sell due to the arrival of a company T6 Transporter Kombi 4Motion (aka The Bus)
The following work has been carried out on the Disco during its time with us.
Front and rear suspension arms replaced @ 79K
Front & Rear discs/pads replaced @83K
Alternator replaced @ 83K with Denso part
Suspension Compressor replaced with the later upgraded one @ 85K by Quattro Autocare
Rear prop replaced @ 102K
Both belts & OME Oil pump changed @ 107K by Quattro Autocare
Battery Replaced last year with LR original Equipment
Auto Box replaced @ 116K by Martin Lowe Auto Transmissions (Couldn’t stand the juddering any longer, and a fluid swop is only a temporary fix)
Rear Calliper @ 109K
Upgrades we’ve ( I’ve ) done in the last 4 years are:
Split Charger with 1 permanent live socket in the rear for a Fridge etc.
Quality LED interior lighting, inc. puddle lights.
Front, First Row & Rear LR rubber matts
Farmers tow bar with 13 pin Euro socket and Keys!
LED Rear lights
Expedition Roof Rack with Ladder (with Ali floor, not fitted at the mo)
Front & Rear Mudflaps
2012 SatNav upgrade inc original DVD.
Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac fitted 2000 miles ago.
Comes with all the usual HSE comforts + Cubby box Fridge, Rear entertainment controls & Rear A/C
Its been serviced every year by my mate Mike Hemingway (LR trained anal, OCD'd, good all round guy) with everything it needs and sparing no expense.
As with everything we all have, there are always a couple of things that never get done, and these are:
The number 7 doesn’t work (ok if you live in Lancashire, as its tuned into the local radio station)
Re-wind on the CD player not working
Cruise Control works most of the time!
Dent/Scratch on the near side wing/door (Dry Stone wall next to our local-Me)
Scrape on near side rear bumper (appeared by Magic !)
Overall, it drives lovely, and its taken me 3 months to get to writing this add, as I would love to keep it, and my daughter would swap her Defender TD5 tomorrow for it, but the Disco drew the short straw + my Daughter doesn’t know what a bucket and sponge are yet ! so its off to go to someone else who will enjoy it as much as we have done.
Now for price, well looking about on the internet, prices are dropping fast, so not sure what to expect with pricing this. I would like to think its worth £8450, but only time will tell.
Don’t forget, its Christmas, and Snows on its way
