Anyone Used Yaesu FTM-10E Yet?
Wonder if anyone has tried the Yaesu FTH-10E amateur rig yet?
I'm curious how good the bluetooth is and whether it will work with other than the Yaesu devices?

Will be fitting one into the D3 this week. Have got the unit so just need the time. Seems to be a great little set, and comes with remote head and lead as standard. Intend to put the main box behind the lower glove box (if it fits..) and the remote head on the dash.
Already have a VX2500 PMR set there so will attach remote head to the top of that with velco or double sided tape... For info the bracket that holds my PMR set is stuck to the dash with RS double sided tape and has been there for 4 months now. Thought it would fall off but it hasn't and no holes drilled! The bluetooth modules have only just come out and are extra so have not tried one yet.
I deal a lot with Yaesu / Standard Vertex so I'll ask what the bluetooth board can connect to. Pretty sure it's the standard bluetooth protocol. We will be trying to connect the 10E to a bluetooth motor cycle helmet kit for a forthcoming job soon, I'll post how we get on...

Thanks for the reply 'xtc'.
Would be interested in how you go on with the rig. They specify that you should use the Yaesu bluetooth equipment, but I suppose they would wouldn't they
Very interested to know if it works with independant bluetooth headsets etc.

Still not got around to fiiting radio, but spoke with the servce guys at Yaesu and they say the bluetooth board works with any standard bluetooth headset. Just needs pairing as normal.
They have been using it with the Jabra one.. Not tried it but looks promising!
