It’s official..... :(
So, bought my Disco in August but it’s only now I’m classed as an official owner....
You can only call yourself a Land Rover owner when you get that thousand pound bill for silly bits.... would have been a lot more had it been with a main dealer!
😶😶😢😢😭😭🤢🤢🤮🤮💷💨
Ironically, I bought this one as it had had so much done to it and been so well looked after that on later it was perfect.....
But weirdly, I still love it and miss it and can’t wait to get it back tomorrow.Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

It's only really official following the first yellow taxi ride. Preferable in some exotic location far, far away.

At least I have another 5 years before replacing the air pump
First one was replaced in 2010. Second one was replaced today
Considering they aren’t used much they break fast.Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

Took me nine years to become an official owner by the yellow taxi rule. Don’t think that’s bad at all actually!

There is a car parts place in Birmingham which sell them on eBay, hitachi spec with two year warranty. I couldn’t get hold of him today so had to stump up £400 for a genuine hitachi one.Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

The main dealers now replace them with the AMK compressor used on the D4. I’m not sure if they actually last any longer than the old ones though.

Owned mine for a whole 7 weeks, Damn thing won't even come out of the garage because the new instrument cluster won't learn the VIN. Still I go and look at it occasionally and it makes me smile. SWMBO says it's behaving badly because I tucked it up in the garage and it was use to being on a farm. Even put some stickers on not that anyone can see them, whilst it's hiding in there.

For now.
Saying that my D4 hasn't had a rest and taken a taxi, or had anything else go wrong. Now I've done it!!
