OSR Wheel Binding
Hi Guys
Took my D4 in for its MOT today to the main dealer. They said it was failing on OSR wheel binding.
Its still under warranty for another year.
They have just phoned me to say its all done, they said it was the EPB that was causing the problem and they have had to strip it down and clean everything.
They are also saying I am liable for 1 hours labour £156.
As I don't know much about the EPB system does this sound reasonable?
Secondly if its binding would that not be covered under warranty.
Cheers for any help in advance 1968 Series 2A

Mine came back from it’s first service binding, can’t be the hassle of complaining, whipped the wheels off and unadjusted them, four clicks each.

Depends what warranty it has, some LR warranties cover the first MOT, other subsidiary warranties don't, brakes are wearing parts. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

They have waived the £156 charge as I pointed out that they had not cleared the work with me before commencing. Happy days 1968 Series 2A

I’ve just collected my new to me 64 plate Disco 4 today drove 10mile down the M65 and my OSR parking brake drum is glowing yellow and brake linings on fire! Needless to say it’s been recovered on a flatbed back to the main dealer I bought it from.
It’s also got the warped brake discs syndrome 70-50mph steering wheel throws a right wobbler even just light braking.
Did a service bulletin ever come out of the complaints of warped discs by any chance?
Looks like I’ve bought another quality approved lemon.
