Just wanted to say thank you to Ross on behalf of A Plan for his excellent customer service on Friday. My insurance for the G4 is up next month and so I enquired speculatively via the forum as I've been considering a more specialist provider for my car and have seen a lot written about A Plan on here.
Values of G4s are holding and, depending on where you look, creeping up in contrast to the 'book' value of the donor 2008 TDV6 HSE on which it's based. I was increasingly worried that my high street insurer wouldn't recognise the difference between the base vehicle and my G4. Ross provided the reassurances that I was looking for, and has specified in the insurance certificate that it's a G4 Challenge edition Disco, and recognised its rarity and added expedition parts and rare livery/decals etc.
As a bonus, I'm also covered for off road driving, have my NCB protected, and all modifications (remap, EGR blank, tints, off road tyres etc) are all noted and included. For a price which I consider very reasonable.
All in all I'm very happy with the service - it's refreshing to have a 1:1 contact with somebody rather than calling faceless call centres. It sounds daft but it's a weight off my shoulders to know my pride and joy is robustly protected. I would definitely recommend.
