Looking for someone with a diagnostic tool near Southampton |
|
I have parking sensor failure and cant work out which one it is. None of them are clicking, or at least I cant hear them, so I am stuck.
Does anyone local to me (Eastleigh - SO50) have a diagnostic card that they could plug in for me just to tell me which sensor has busted. I am happy to come to you if you can help.
Fingers crossed,
xx

If my IID Tool can read your codes you are welcome to come over to me in Bassett and plug it in.
Anyone know if this will work on a non licensed motor?

I'm a bit further away South of Petersfield, but have a Nanocom that works with all D3s.
I also have a bit of experience with Parking sensors, like every long term D3 owner does.

I also have a need to change the CCF and am based in Southampton.
Picking up my new [to me] 2015 D4 later this week and have bought some Xenon headlamps for it. As I understand it it will need the CCF changing to activate the Xenons and DRL.
Is that something you might be able to help with?
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
my IID won't be able to do that to your motor as it will only update my CCF. (It would read error codes etc. ok)
A nanocom licensed for D4's would be able to do this no problem but I'm not sure who has got one round here (I sold mine and bought the IID as it was a better tool).
Out of interest, where did you buy the D4 from and source the Xenon's from?
cheers

Thanks Nick
I'll see if I can track someone down, if not perhaps I'll try West 4X4 [they seem to be recommended]
My first foray into Land Rover ownership, exiting if a little worrying having read several threads about broken cranks!
It's a one owner March 2015 commercial with a rear seat conversion that I have bought from a garage in Somerset [not a main dealer].It has the remainder of the 3 year LR warranty which I assume I can transfer then decide where to buy a warranty that will cover the possibility of a broken engine?
I wanted it with a seat conversion and fully loaded so took while to track one down, its in Aruba [still a little unsure about that] I am converting it to black pack spec with a grille, vents, mirrors and having the wheels painted, then adding an extended roof rack and tree sliders.
The only significant factory option that wasn't fitted was Xenons so I have bought a pair of new facelift Xenons with DRL from eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Disco...1438.l2649 and as I understand its the CCF needs programming together with a wiring mod to make the main beam flash work?
Looking forward to picking it up on Friday if they have got all the bits in.
Paul

sounds good - get some pictures up when you get it 8)
The lights should only need a CCF update - the wiring as yours is a MY2014+ model should be fine.
* yes we all use Mark at West 4x4 round here
I'll have done or be doing shortly a number of updates to my GS that you might be interested in:
Heated Seats
Xenons
Prospeed sliders
Cruise Control
shortly doing a MY14 front end update to include
Front Parking
Front Fogs
Auto Lights
also thinking about heated steering wheel at the moment
give me a shout if you need a hand with anything Stolen - D4 Loire Blue
