Its fitted as standard on the HSE, its the message center on the dash, who told you its been upgraded, it might have had COD done ?.

Yeah, it’s had the update so clock is in dash and when light go on they use the red heater looking light to show lights are on.
It’s got the Harmon Kardon set up but I assumed that’s standard for the HSE.Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

I thought you can get rid of the red light by upgrading the IPC with IIDtool (at least).
I upgraded my IPC to “MY07+ on pre MY07” before enabling Scandinavia DRL (so xenon low beam and position/side lights on at all times) and I have never seen the red light.

I was going to get the IIDTool but as this Garage visit has just cost me £1,020 I’ll have to wait 6-12 months Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

hope it’s now all resolved
before i bought the iid i got a cheap elm 327 and the dashcommand software , think it cost around £15 and wondering if i may at least give u some very basic info
some quick screenshot of mine and gave some basic readings and i think u can reset the service interval display / read and clear fault codes

The real bug is I had just come round to getting the IIDTool and the very next day I get a call to let me know the compressor also needed replacing so goodbye IID fund
On the up side, I’m still decided on the IIDTool, it’ll just have to wait til next year now.Land Rover Discovery 3 HSE

always the way and everything is now well with ur disco must admit like so many others the iid is indeed the leader out there , found using it via my ipad to be the easiest along with the print facility
was just a thought ref the very cheap elm 327 reader
know second hand ones come up for sale once in a while
