Alternative Dog Guards
I have a full height LR dog guard in my D3. It's a real PITA when I need to have the 2nd row seats down to carry large loads.
Are there any good alternatives that anyone has found. Something that slotted into the headrest holes would be nice. I don't really need full height, just something to stop the Woofer sticking his head then paws over the 2nd row seats.

I use a universal type guard my sister gave me. It sits between the boot cover unit & my Mantec load lugger- this has a groove the vertical tubes sit in with modification & the rubber feet sit in the dip of the boot cover so cannot go anywhere & very quick to remove

I went for the Travall system for the same reason (wanted to be able to slot long loads in without removing completely).
It's custom fitted for the Disco 3 and is really solid when in, can be put in/taken out in 5mins tops, all done with thumb screws so no tools needed either. I use mine in conjunction with the divider as well, gives the dog half the boot space and keeps half clean. Pretty well priced also.

Plus one for the travail. It is made specifically for the D3/4 and does exactly what it says on the tin! D3 07 SE - still going strong
D3 07 HSE - gone to car heaven
FL1 - gone to Romania
D3 05 HSE - gone to a divorce diet
D1 V8 manual - gone but not forgotten
RR Classic - gone to car heaven
Jeeps, Lexus, X-trails... Too many to name..

The only thing I found with the half height item was that in order to stop it rattling it had to be wound up tight, and doing so deformed the boot plastics.
I'd cut the mesh out of the lower part of the full height one if I needed to carry long loads regularly.
