Problem with D4 heated wheel retrofit
I've fitted my D4 wheel with BBS conversion and now the cruise control does not work nor does the heated part of the wheel.
I've used the bypass wire from the forum shop and noticed there was a spare wire.
What should this be plugged in to? The ciggy lighter still works. If not that where else should I be looking?

Check you have live coming out at the point you have made the connection or switch on lights and see if the heated part works that should not stop the cruise working how did you test it Discovery 3 se gone

The steering wheel buttons all illuminate. Cruise does not work as dash light does not come on.
The heated button does not illuminate so might have to go back and check the BBS board and the other connections
I'm useless with electrics although fitting it was fine

Also make sure none of the little white push buttons have dropped out when you have taken the switches apart also make sure the add on for the heated wheel is correctly fitted as its easy to get that the wrong way i assume you paid for the heated wheel part Discovery 3 se gone

Yep ordered the extra bit for the heated wheel.
I guess first step is to check the BBS board is fitted properly. If it is fitted wrong would that stop the heated switch from illuminating?

When I fitted my new airbag initially I had illumination to the steering wheel switches but nothing worked. I unplugged everything and then reconnected and low and behold, sounds system and cruise control all started working again.Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.

Also make sure the car goes completely to sleep at least 29 mins to be sure before trying anything so the ecumenical seed thinks properly and if it’s wrong way it will stop it working Discovery 3 se gone

I think the heated wheel switch should be illuminated orange and goes red when switched on.
If you wire it up with the polarity crossed, it won't illuminate but the wheel will stay stuck in full heat mode.
Also, I might be stating the dead bleeding obvious here but make sure you test the cruise above 25mph ( I think ) as it won't operate if you're going slower.Mods:
