Rear prop removal

Im replacing the rear prop but the collar has stayed onto the transfer box when removing old shaft. How do ye get this off?

I gave it a few wacks already with a steel claw hammer but no go so I stopped just in case.

Steel on steel not good use a block of wood if you only have a steel hammer rotate it and hit it on opposite sides once you have movement pop it off with a screwdriver

It popped off with a nylon hammer Thumbs Up New shaft is on and hopefully good for another 10 years

Thumbs Up not long since I put a metal monster junk refurbished one on my 56 plate seems to be holding well but now got the dreaded judder so will be coming off again to swap the box and torque con. Also put one I refurbished myself onto my commercial ready for Mot which it passed just this week it will be interesting to see how that goes ?
