replacing rear discs. What about the EPB?

Hi all
I will shortly be replacing the rear discs and pads on my Discovery 3.

Is there a consensus on what to do with the EPB? For info the car has just under 90k on the clock, and has never had any work done on the EPB as far as I can tell from the history.

Should I
- inspect the shoes, and leave as is if thickness ok
- inspect shoes, and fully strip, clean and rebuild if thickness is ok
- replace shoes whatever their condition
- replace shoes plus ancillary springy bits and pieces whatever their condition

Many thanks!

Make sure you free off and reset the little spring adjusters and apply a little lube to the wedge. Also free off and lube the lever pivots.

Follows bodsy's brake bible

Thanks guys.
I am going to do the rear brakes on a week day, so if I need anything for the EPB it will be a drive to Advanced Factors with the missus' car, so hopefully can still do it in a day!

I have read Bodsy's bible, which gave me the confidence to consider doing the EPB if required, great write up.
