I have had to hire in a tractor & trailer for the day.. i have a 13t digger on hire so i cant have it and the driver doing nothing...in putting the new access into the house due to my lovely neighbours.....!

In Morocco in 2007, and again in 2010, a vehicle in our party suffered a diff or driveshaft failure on a Defender.
In each case, the get you home fix was to remove the driving member from the hub, and replace with a pot noodle pot, to keep the sand out of the wheel bearing.

Didn't it also happen to the Blue Pearl and the solution to the TC going loopy was to take the fuse out?

Ok.. i tried the pot noodle fix... no joy.. it melted too and the output flange just turned and made the noodles into a right mess.. almost inedible.. almost
I guess the Pot Noodle fix is a joke or April fool....
