Factory coil suspension - headlight beam?

Hi knowledgeable folks,

I am considering converting to coils from EAS, and wonder if I will need to do something to maintain headlight beam when the car is fully loaded with luggage?

Did the standard coil spec cars have a beam adjustment switch in the cabin?

Thanks! Bow down

I never realised they left the factory without air suspension

As L319 says. Yes and it’s needed and I don’t think is catered for by the air to coil conversion kit.

I've seen the switch for sale on the bay. The switch is the easiest part, if you want headlight levelling you will probably need new headlights as I don't think that came as standard in Discoverys with air and check to see if wires and fuses are there.

Thanks all, your pointers were all good ones. It seems its at least: switch, headlights, levelling actuators, wiring, and I am not clear if there is some kind of module too.

Gonna need some thought.

Thanks all. Bow down Thumbs Up

Why are you thinking of moving to coils?

No reason really, just reliability, and so the suspension can't lower suddenly on the motorway when I am doing 70mph in the fast lane with my kids in the car. Exclamation

I'm open to other suggestions on how to avoid it if anyone has one? I tried using the D1 more, but I just can't do without that lovely Harmon stereo! It's perfect for drowning out the noise from the kids!

Cheers.
