Oil Pump Check - how much to dismantle?

Once you are in the engine bay, change the water pump as well. Just be careful tightening these 3 screws holding the pump.

They easily break off if overtighten. Achim

Just read this ebay ad, the owner had a service in june, oil pump casting breaks off within 3 months! Shocked

I've read on here before that often the oil pump casting will fail after a cam belt change. Glad I checked mine now. Richard
