Air Suspension ECU - coded to car?

Various suspension problems. Garage now tells me ECU RQT 500170 is sad and I need a new one.

1. are they coded to the car?

2. if they are can I code one myself with the IID tool?

Can anyone confirm if the EAS ECU is coded to the car?

If so, can this be resolved with an IID or Nanocom? Cheers,

I do confirm is coded to car VIN, but not sure if the iidtool is able to match it to your VIN, try to ask BAS Thumbs Up - Easy-Lift suspension module 4.0

Yes they are coded , but they will still work but log an error of VIN mismatch.

So I could physically swap it to rectify any existing ECU issues, clear the DTC codes and hence the warning light and live with the VIN mismatch in the short term? Cheers,
