Air Suspension Air Tank removal

I want to rebuild the air charging system for the reservoir on my LR-3.
I am in the process of removing the air tank.
I have removed the 4 bolts and bled down the system (disconnected power to the compressor and loosened plug at front of tank to allow air out). I have disconnected the line from the distribution valve that goes to the tank. My problem now is that the tank is loose but I cannot get the small locator tab out from the hole on the rear bracket, there is not enough clearance between the tank and front bracket...so the front of my tank is hitting the front bracket but the rear tab is still in the hole on the rear bracket. Any help would be appreciated.

Also I was checking the air inlet filter and decided to clean the sponge inside...when I put detergent and water on it, it turned to mush (technical term). Is this just an ordinary sponge or is it some form of carbon impregnated version? I cannot find replacements online....only the complete air intake system (plastic canister, quick disconnect airline etc,. Any ideas?

Hi, it's not considered to be a serviceable part. The complete filter assembly is part NÂș is RQB000418, about $78 from British Atlantic which seems dear for all it is. But you could replace the foam filter if you can get a new air filter for a gas cement mixer or concrete saw or similar engine with a large cleanable air filter, you could adapt it to fit.

When i changed my air reservoir i had to knock the tabs in with a hammer and punch to be able to get it out.

The new reservoir came with the tabs flat and they then had to be knocked into the locating holes.
