Strange Vibration at around 75mph

Evening All,

Had a strange vibration in D4 this afternoon, driving on motorway and at around 75-80 felt like i had a flat tyre, vibration was so bad the whole car shook, vibration stayed until i stopped, checked the vehicle and all seemed ok visually.

Drove off again and was fine, didn't go beyond 67mph. Later that day drove again over 75 and same vibration came back. Stopped again and then set off again and didn't exceed 70 and no vibration.

Any ideas. I had a brand new set of pirelli scorpions fitted around 800 miles ago and been perfect?

Stay under the speed limit.... problem solved Whistle
Seriously now. I had that with a mondeo years ago and it turned out to be wheel Ballance, a weight had come off and only caused problems at higher speeds. Check the balance on all 4 wheels.

Sounds like a binding park brake. Check brake temperature at the hub of the rear disc when it happens.

Thanks, i shall investigate, there is a slight rubbing sound that seems to be coming from the brakes when travelling slow, also looks like a weight may have come off a wheel as well.

i will get it booked in straight away.

Thanks
