Webasto MultiControl
Hello,
this is my first post so dont hate me.
Anyway there are instructions how to add Webasto 1533 timer to Land Rover Discovery 3 FBH.
So I went to the local Webasto dealer and they said that the new Multicontrol supports Thermo top V.
Inside the box was a brochure were Thermo top V was listed.
To the problem now.
MultiControl has four wires.
Black - analog
Red- Power 12v
Brown- Earth
Yellow- W-Bus
so I connected yellow to pin 2, red and black to battery then the webasto timer booted up, I selected TT-VEVO because on the brochure it says Thermo Top V = TT-VEVO
After the handbrake light turned off I pushed the webasto burn button but I got an error (no w-bus signal)
Side note, all the doors are closed and bonnet hooks are pressed in.

I would say,
Red battery pos.
Brown battery neg.
Black 12volt trigger signal in, ie from headlamps or some other remote kit gsm etc
Yellow as you have connected it to the fbh.

Black is probably 12V switched OUTPUT, rather than INPUT. I assume this a replacement for the 1533 Oval timer, it certainly uses the same 4 pin square connector.
Edit: confirmed by pic above, I started this post before it was posted
MAYBE the address the Multi Controller uses over WBUS to command the FBH is one of those blocked by the D3 variant FBH (the D4's FBH doesn't reject the same address).
Can you try it on a D4?06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

What other options are available when you selected "TT-VEVO"?
The manual PDF I can find doesn't give any of the available settings.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Yeah, I think it is a replacment for the 1533 oval timer + 7 day programming which is why I bought it in the first place.
Unfortunately I dont own a LR4 nor have any buddys that own it.
But here is the picture to select what webasto heater you have.

I haven't spoken to the dealer yet.
Maybe I have done something wrong?
Where is the bonnet sensor?
In the hooks right?
Because if I read the webasto OBD troubleshooting aka no connection to w-bus, the problem seems to be that the car isn't in sleep

When I check the log it still gives the w-bus error
Edit:
Quote:

but then why on the sheet it says Thermo Top V is Supported?
Edit 2: I gave up.
Tested it again. Checked all the wiring.
Clock was 19:05 aka 7:05pm and scheduled the timer to start at 20:05 aka 8:05pm. Locked the doors, went inside and when I came back and again the w-bus connection error.
Going to replace it with the 1533 oval timer. Wish me luck.

Not all TTV heaters are the same. The D3 version rejects commands from the Telestart remote control unit. The D4 version doesn't.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
