Hi all, picked up my 05/D3 from a reputable specialist today having been in for a few little bits ( still expensive tho ! ) and was told the the auto box fluid needs changing at a cost of £350. Having only had the car a few weeks I thought I'd seen a recent invoice for this when I got it so said I'd have a think about it. The car has done 145k and looking through the invoices I found it had been done in October 16 at 135k. Would it normally need doing so soon ???

Was that a proper flush or just a fluid change (or 2) ?
If the former, just have it done again in about 40k or so, if the latter, plan it in for 10-20k's time. Mark.

Going from the invoice I would say a full change as it had the gaskets done as well !

That wouldn't be a full flush, that would be dropping the filter and filling back up. Changes about 6l of the 12.7 litres in the box.
I'm in Oxford Monday and youd have plenty of change from your quoted price if that helps?
Current recommendation is to change every 50-60,000 miles (unless you talk to LR who say 150,000 or 10 years.....) Bodsys Brake Bible

That's what the LRS told me they would do for my £350 change about 6l. How much change are we talking bodsy as I'm still having open wallet surgery
