Good bit of info for trying to stream music on the D4 here but mine still doesnt work Big Cry
2010 xs model, i have the genuine "curly" wire into the correct port and bought a 30 pin to lightning adaptor from amazon but still no joy....
Is there anything that needs to be enabled first for this to work, im talking with the IID tool or something?

Cheers.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before

I have the HSE, don't know if its any different set up wise, I can happily stream Bluetooth music from the phone with Amazon and the likes but only when the iPod cable is unplugged from the IPOD USB plug in the arm rest.

thought id mention it to see if that sorted out any of your problems.

I had a MY2010 HSE with the wire and connectors, which worked fine. However, the adaptor was a genuine Apple device. Have you tried the adaptor with anything else as some of them only allow charging and not data transfer i.e. music etc. Just a thought.

I've got a Bovee 1000 which connects my Samsung Galaxy (Android) to let me play podcasts, music etc from my phone. I can skip forward and back, I just can select a different album without handling the phone itself. And it doesn't give a track name or album name.

It plugs into the slot where the curly cable goes.

It's pretty good - I'd prefer that it let me see what I'm playing or pick a different album, but I'm not too bothered. I've also got a Brodit clip and dashboard mount so I can see from the screen on the phone what's ahppening.

Think it cost around £100 a few years back.

The two set ups i have tried are in pictures below;
LR curly wire into an lightning adaptor - no joy
just the iphone charger in the usb - no joy

Tried both at different times so one plugged in at a time still nothing.

Would be good to know if there are any other 2010 models that this works or doesn't work on

This all stopped working for me some time ago (since my original posts in 2017), I suspect one of the Apple iOS updates killed off the iPod out feed or something. I gave up and bought a 3.5mm jack to USB-C aux cable for my android phone instead which works fine but you lose the skip controls on the steering wheel.

I would at this stage recommend a bovee solution or do what I plan to do at some point soon and buy a 2017+ FFRR so you get Apple CarPlay Laughing

Ok Mate Nice one.

After having two brand new velars last year and having nothing but problems with them both i would never get a new land rover again.
The reason for buying this 10year old toy with 160K on the clock I've saved a what is now second mortgage payment and investment in not having a velar.
Sign of trying to grow up i suppose Rolling with laughter

That's what I've got. Just bear in mind you can't see album or track names if you're using an Android
