I have just made it to St Nazaire but I have a problem with black smoke on acceleration. If I am in 4th 5th or 6th gear and i put my foot down there is lots of black smoke but if i keep it below 2000 revs its not too bad. It has lost a bit of power but not too much. I have spoke to Mick (Flack) who said to check large turbo hose for a split but its ok ( i had them changed to silicon when body was off) the other he mentioned was that the turbo intercooler could have gone but I cant see any oil leaking from it. I have to drive to St Malo tomorrow to catch ferry on Thursday to Jersey then onto Poole getting there early Friday morning. It will drive at low revs blowing out a small amount of smoke but for how long ?The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Sounds like its linked to the turbo if it seems fine below the 2000rpm. Intercooler hose sounds the obvious one, but you have checked that. Is the air filter ok? Is the black smoke over fuelling?

Have you checked the Jubilee type clips on the silicone hoses are tight? -they are prone to blowing off particularly if you've had a remap.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
Taken turbo hose off and its ok. I have put it back on and checked jubilee clips are tight I have checked oil that too is ok. I have looked at the intercooler itself and that is clean with no oil on it. (It was new last year) If I can get it back to the uk and get it back up north Mick Flack has kindly said he will take a look. So fingers crossed it will get me the 550 or so miles needed to get it to Micks. Steady as she goes captin The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Given wide range of reported faults, I'd have been thinking battery but the smoking? Turbo ???.

Hi Mark the error code is Turbo/supercharger underboost, its related to the black smoke, if it has a leak somewhere or the Turbo itself I would clear them all off and see what shows up later on.
