I'll confess I cried when the 300tdi went ... I'd had it 16 years. even worse knowing that if I'd had time/space/energy to dismantle it and sell the bits, I'd have got 10 times what I got from the scrap man.

Well strangely enough I want a hardtop for my MGF as I plan to use it a little through the winter months (Just to keep a few miles off the disco, just short runs and the like) anyway i have found a hardtop not in my colour so it would need respraying but its attached to a car thats failed its mot and he just wants rid of it all. I could end up getting it all for about £300 and the wheels are the 16" ones that take the 4pot callipers so they always sell well (especially if i get them refurbed) .There are loads of other easily removed bits that will sell including the soft top thats in the passengers seat. So I thought dare I bring it home and start dismantling it on the drive then when I have got what i can just get it taken away for scrap. But I have a strange feeling my testicals may be sore from the kicking they will receive before I get all the bits I want off Big Cry

I once bought a 6x4 shed and "hid" it under a tarpaulin, to ne a play house for our youngest. Try that ... SWMBO might not notice Whistle

SWMBO always finds out in the end.... had my private plate on the Disco for 3 weeks and she never noticed, I mean 3 weeks of clenched buttocks every time we walked out to the car thinking every time "Oh Censored here we go, I'm going to be killed"

Then I made the fatal mistake of relaxing....then one day I was outside fixing something on the trailer and SWMBO wandered out, said bye (on her way out), followed by "what the Censored is that", the bloody plate on the trailer was my undooing Big Cry

Took very many weeks of humble pie to get me out of that one Sad
