Great result Mark and sorry to hear your trip didn't quite go to plan!
Out of curiosity, what made you decide to change the hoses to silicone in the first place......a remap?

The problem found, thanks Mick It was not easy to see even with wheel, wheel arch and heat shields off as it was on top turned towards the engine. Mick sniffed it out though
No more black smoke (well for the time being at least)

It was the smaller near side hose I split on mine Mark and yes it was a silicone hose that let go
You get what you pay for in this world, I paid little money and it lasted little time. As Beanie says silicon hoses are not all they are cracked up to be You're coat is over there Greg The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

As Shakespeare would say, "turbo or not turbo, that is the question".
take it you waved it at SWMBO and said "see ... you could have fixed it you lazy mare !" ???
Tell you what fella it was well buried. I would have struggled to do it with the tools I had on holiday. For a start I would have to remove wheel and with the LR jack that would have been fun I watched Mick do it and although he makes it look easy I would have struggled in France. All sorted now so I am a happy chappy until the next thing The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Just tell her "there will be no next time, you hear me". And that's the car not SWMBO.
Mind you that's just what I told mine and look what happened.
I should not laugh really Del what happened to you was tragic. To have to leave your car over there, hell The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

If you don't laugh you'll cry. I just had to remind myself "it's only a car" and "it's only money".
